    Eric Hawthorne is an economist specializing in wealth creation and financial strategy. He leverages his expertise to help plaintiffs manage and sustain multi-million-dollar settlements through his collaboration with Cullan & Cullan Law Firm.

    He served as the lead financial columnist for All Black Everything Magazine, where he crafted accessible and engaging pathways to help readers build generational wealth through financial literacy. His insightful analyses and commitment to economic empowerment have earned him recognition beyond the publication, with his work featured in the Urban League’s 2023 book From Redlining to Chalk Lines: The Costs of Economic Injustice and their 2025 release Democracy Under Siege: Radical Resistance Required.

    Currently, Eric serves as the Director of Economic Development for the Black Economic Union of Greater Kansas City, where he leads initiatives focused on investment attraction, policy advocacy, business growth, and workforce development. A lifelong Kansas Citian, Eric is deeply committed to bridging the economic and social divide across the metropolitan area and empowering underserved communities to thrive.
